Treasures 4 Teachers back to school drive

Treasures 4 Teachers, Henry+Horne, community service, give back, volunteer, giving, donationsJust last week a colleague and I had the privilege of organizing and dropping off all our back to school drive items to a great organization. Henry+Horne does a back to school drive each year in July and we typically pick a different organization to support. This year we were able to hold a drive for Treasures 4 Teachers. If you don’t know about this organization, you should keep reading because everyone knows a teacher and you should help spread the word.

“Treasures 4 Teachers is a member-based resource and supply store serving the educators of Arizona. This means that anyone who works closely with students can have access to a wide selection of materials, resources and training that will enhance and expand the learning process. T4T is a donation-based operation. Therefore, they [we] are able to provide low cost and free school supplies to their [our] members in Tempe, Arizona.”

I am proud to say that Henry+Horne raised roughly $1,140 worth of cash donations that contributed to a total of about 835 school supplies and 1,000+ craft items that are used by teachers for all sorts of projects.

This is a great nonprofit and ensures that our back to school drive items make it into the hands of teachers and students in a classroom or educational facility. If you wish to check out Treasures 4 Teachers, or find out other ways to get involved and give back, you can visit their website.

On the other hand, Henry+Horne takes pride in giving back to the community in other ways besides just monetary donations. We enjoy going out and putting in the time and effort with volunteer hours since lots of times volunteer hours can mean more than money. We have an employee run community service board here at Henry+Horne and we are always looking for different events that can accommodate our group. Please feel free to reach out to us via our contact information, on Twitter or Facebook.
