Henry & Horne's Governmental Audit Services are located in the firm's Casa Grande office, one of the firm's original offices since its founding in 1957. The Governmental Audit Services department consists of ten professionals, all highly experienced in governmental auditing and all of whom meet the professional qualification requirements for governmental audits.

At Henry & Horne we believe that a governmental audit is more than just a commodity to be purchased from the lowest bidder. We have a proven history of offering our clients the highest level of service and experience. Virtually all of our first year clients comment on how refreshing it is to work with experienced auditors rather than the "fresh out of college" entry level staff normally assigned to government audits. This is a major reason why we retain our clients year to year...they are happy.

We have audited many municipalities who have applied for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. All have been awarded that certificate. The Government Finance Officers Association, a national organization whose goal is to provide practical guidance to accounting and auditing professionals serving state and local governments, awards this certificate.

All governmental auditing professionals meet or exceed the continuing education requirements of the Government Auditing Standards. We take pride in the fact that we adhere to the most rigorous criteria for CPA firms, and that we are members of the Division for CPA Firms of the American Institute of CPAs. As such, we are required to undergo a formal examination process known as "peer review." Every three years, specially trained CPAs from other firms examine and thoroughly evaluate our quality control standards and test our policies and procedures. The most recent Henry & Horne peer review was performed in October 2007.
