Bio

Steve Koons Stephen Koons is Director of Henry & Horne’s Valuation and Forensic Services Group. He is an experienced financial professional with expertise in business and intangible asset appraisal, economic damage analysis and litigation services.

Mr. Koons performs business valuations for divorces, dissenting shareholder/minority oppression actions, income, estate and gift tax purposes, mergers and acquisitions and other purposes. He also performs economic analyses for lost profits and damage cases, breach of contract matters, wrongful death/loss of earnings, asset tracings, and other matters.

Mr. Koons has served as a court-appointed business appraiser/accounting expert and has provided expert testimony in Maricopa County Superior Court, Pima County Superior Court, Cochise County Superior Court and United States District Court regarding business valuation, income for support purposes, commercial damages, lost profits, asset tracing and breach of contract cases. He has also served as a court-appointed Special Master in binding arbitration.

Prior to joining Henry & Horne, Mr. Koons formed his own business valuation and litigation consulting practice in Phoenix. Mr. Koons also served in various capacities including as the founder of his former consulting firm in southern Arizona, as principal of his home building/real estate development firm in southern Arizona, as Executive Vice-President of a real estate development firm and as Tax Manager for an international accounting firm.
