Henry & Horne’s business valuation practice started in 1991 under the direction of David Radcliffe, a Director at the time in the firm's Mesa office. In 1997, David was joined by another business valuation professional, who came to the firm from a firm similar in size to Henry & Horne in Roanoke, Virginia.
In September, 1998, the firm started its Litigation Support Services niche under the direction of Don Bays, who joined the firm that month. Don had served as the Director of Valuation and Litigation Support Services for a 95-person CPA firm based in Phoenix prior to coming to Henry & Horne. The niche now offered litigation support and forensic accounting services in addition to business valuations.
In 1999, David Radcliffe left the firm to become an officer in one of the firm's client companies. In January of 2007, Steve Koons joined the firm as a Director. By January of 2010, the firm’s valuation and litigation support services team had grown to four professionals and one administrative assistant. In August of 2010, Ringel Valuation Services, headed by Gary Ringel, joined forces with Henry & Horne’s valuation and litigation professionals.
Today Henry & Horne's business valuation and litigation support services team is comprised of seven professionals and one administrative team member. The Group offers valuation services in connection with estate and gift tax matters, buy-sell agreements, sales and acquisitions of companies, and divorce. Its litigation professionals provide consulting and expert witness services in connection with disputes and litigation involving economic damages and lost profits calculations, wrongful injuries, wrongful deaths, income determination for spousal maintenance and child support, shareholder/owner disputes, and forensic accounting services involving all types of businesses and trusts.
