Financial Consulting Group (FCG)
Henry & Horne’s Business Valuation and Litigation Support Services Group is a Member Firm in The Financial Consulting Group (“FCG”). FCG is the largest organization of independently owned accounting, business valuation, and financial services firms in North America. FCG offers members the opportunity to expand and enhance their practices using the processes, tools, and educational and networking events. FCG members are experienced, credentialed, financial experts and leaders in the valuation profession. FCG members serve on the Business Valuation Committees of the AICPA and the ASA, participate in national business valuation conferences, serve as instructors, and write valuation books, articles, and newsletters.

 

 


 

 

AICPA


American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is the world's largest association representing the accounting profession, with nearly 370,000 members in 128 countries. AICPA members represent many areas of practice, including business and industry, public practice, government, education and consulting; membership is also available to accounting students and CPA candidates. The AICPA sets ethical standards for the profession and U.S. auditing standards for audits of private companies, non-profit organizations, federal, state and local governments. It develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination.

 


 

ASA
American Society of Appraisers (ASA)
The American Society of Appraisers is an international organization of appraisal professionals and others interested in the appraisal profession. ASA is the oldest and only major appraisal organization representing all of the disciplines of appraisal specialists. The society originated in 1936 and incorporated in 1952. ASA is headquartered in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area. The American Society of Appraisers: helps the public and professionals find an ASA accredited appraiser; is the only professional valuation organization that accredits members in every appraisal discipline; Works to grow the appraisal profession; fosters professional excellence in its membership through education, accreditation, publication and other services with an emphasis on professional ethics to protect the public.


 

NAVCA
National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA)
NACVA’s Mission is to provide resources to members and to enhance their status, credentials, and esteem in the field of performing valuations, financial forensics, and other related advisory services. To further this purpose, NACVA will advance these services as an art and science, establish standards for membership in the Association, provide professional education and research, foster practice development, advance ethical and professional practices, enhance public awareness of the Association and its members, and promote working relationships with other professional organizations.


 

ASCPA
Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA)
The Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) is an active professional organization of CPAs working together to enhance the profession and better serve the public. Since its establishment in 1933, the ASCPA has grown from a small group of 10 founding members to more than 5,500 CPAs Statewide today. A variety of issues brought the founding members together to form the Society, which was the culmination of a drive to advance and organize accountants in Arizona as an advocacy group that would address issues important to individual members. The Society also was intended to serve as a vehicle for enhancing the status of accountants within the state, increasing their influence with public officials, and linking them directly to the work of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Central Arizona Estate Planning Council (CAPEC)
The Central Arizona Estate Planning Council was established in the 1960s as a professional organization for the diverse practitioners involved in the estate planning process. With emphasis on the estate planning team, our focus is to gain a broader perspective of pertinent issues and ideas, in order to construct and protect our clients’ financial estates and to achieve a smooth transition of wealth from one generation to another. Estate planning is one of today’s fastest-evolving professional disciplines, as ever-changing tax laws and volatile market values have created opportunities for practitioners and clients alike. The Council regularly presents top national speakers at a power-packed dinner meeting offering both continuing education and networking opportunities. Council members further benefit from an afternoon seminar with a national strategist, an ice cream social, a spouses' night and a golf outing - - all designed to promote professionalism and reciprocal associations among the Council professionals.

The ACFE offers its members the unique opportunity for professional certification (Certified Fraud Examiner). The Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential is globally preferred by businesses and government entities around the world and indicates expertise in all areas of fraud prevention and detection.
