Studies show that charter schools are growing by numbers and students. Among the largest growth leaders is the State of Arizona. At least 145,000 students in Arizona are now enrolled in charter schools, and the results of those schools are also making large strides towards better education with more and more Arizona students becoming competitive for the National Merit Scholarship. Arizona parents are actively looking for the best education for their students and the growth and success of our charter schools has become a notable option for those students. According to the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, “the number of charters has grown rapidly, especially in the past four years with over 2 million students, 5 percent of total enrolled public school students, now attend a charter school.” If you’re interested in hearing more about the growth of charter schools in our country I suggest visiting the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools’ website at http://www.publiccharters.org/ and review the studies done with their organization. If you are a parent and interested in learning more about Arizona’s Charter Schools, a great resource is the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools’ website at http://www.asbcs.az.gov/ with many great resources for parents and charter schools.
